Coach Scales did a nice job in coaching both the A and B Girls' Basketball teams this past season. Both the A and B teams qualified for the Metro tournament and represented Life School well with some very competitive basketball. Coach Scales' determination to give her players as many touches as possible did not go unnoticed. She had open gyms throughout the season where players were able to practice their skills and have fun at the same time. With one day of rest, Coach Scales jumped right into the track season as this year's head girls' track coach. She continues to pour out to her athletes the value of hard work and dedication. One of the relay teams she coaches holds the national record and hopes to continue training champions. This month's spotlight falls on Coach Scales.
The Life Lions from Life High School Oak Cliff (LHSOC), led by Head Coach Raymond Parker, had an impressive season in District 9-3A. With a solid 19-15 record, the Lions secured third place in the district, earning a coveted spot in the UIL State Playoffs.
