Jeremy Trojacek, owner of Chick-fil-A Red Oak, shared an inspirational message with the Life School coaching staff at Life High School Waxahachie, focusing on self-care during challenging times. His message focused on creating a proactive action plan for the future.
Trojacek began his coaching career at Southlake Carroll in Southlake, TX, where he spent 10 years coaching football and baseball. He then moved to Round Rock Cedar Ridge in Round Rock, TX, where he served as the Offensive Coordinator of the football team for 5 years.
After 15 years of coaching, Trojacek decided to pursue a Chick-fil-A franchise, working alongside his mother-in-law. After over a year and a half during which they endured 12 interviews and underwent arduous training, he eventually became the owner of the Red Oak Chick-fil-A.
Following his transition from athletic coach to Chick-fil-A entrepreneur, Trojacek still felt a drive to share his love for leadership with others in the area.
Trojacek began by reaching out to Life School, where he met Scott Thrush, the Athletic Director. Through Thrush, he was introduced to Coach Justin Burns, a former LHSW coach. Since then, Trojacek has been connecting with principals and coaches throughout the district, offering advice and leadership insights.
“Education is my top priority,” said Torjacek. “As a business owner, we are making sure we are serving our teachers, our coaches, and our kids.”
In February, all district coaches convened at LHSW to hear Trojacek deliver an inspiring speech on self-care. Aware of the pressure and stress that coaches face each season, he offered practical tips on how to pause and take a moment to recharge. Trojacek emphasized the importance of recognizing personal strengths and weaknesses, getting adequate rest, and building meaningful connections with others to stay motivated throughout their careers.
“We talk here at Chick-fil-A a lot about the 3D Persons: Personal, professional, and spiritual,” said Trojacek. “... just making sure that you have an action plan in all three phases, not just at work.”
Following the inspiring event with Life School coaches, Trojacek was invited to share his insights with the Life School Waxahachie football team.
