Several students from Life High School Waxahachie (LHSW) are heading to Galveston to compete in the upcoming Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) state competition. After a successful Area-level competition, eleven students will compete at the state level from February 17-19, 2025.

Curriculum Review Opportunity
We are excited to offer a chance for the community to review the elementary literacy and math curriculums that are being recommended to the Board for adoption in the 2025-2026 school year.

- Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
- Location: Central Office, Training Room B
This public review session will allow attendees to view the curriculums being considered and ask any questions they may have. The curriculums being reviewed are:
- Phonics (K-2): Savvas, William H. Sadlier (From Phonics to Reading)
- Reading Language Arts (K-6): Savvas
- Math (K-6): STEMscopes

Life High School Oak Cliff January Coach Spotlight
Coach Juwan Seigle is a dedicated leader who coaches high school football and middle school girls' basketball. In addition to his coaching roles, he oversees our TSTC (Texas State Technical College) program, further demonstrating his commitment to providing guidance to a diverse group of students, from middle schoolers to high schoolers, across both genders. Known for his strong communication skills, Coach Seigle is a reliable and respected member of the Life Oak Cliff community. He takes pride in building meaningful relationships with his athletes, always setting high expectations to help them reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
Life High School Waxahachie January Coach Spotlight
Coach Ladonna Willis is entering her third year with Life Waxahachie, having started as a substitute before transitioning into her current role as a paraprofessional PE aide with Life HS Waxahachie. Outside of work, Coach Willis enjoys spending weekends with her kids and grandkids. At Life Waxahachie High School, she has fostered strong relationships with both the coaching staff and students. One of her standout leadership qualities is her problem-solving ability—she is always eager to lend a hand wherever needed and plays a key role in resolving challenges. Ladonna is highly respected by her colleagues, and we are thrilled to have her as a valued member of the Mustang family.

Taylor Farms made a meaningful impact on the Life School Oak Cliff community this winter. Known for its commitment to fresh, sustainable food, the company extended its support to seniors at Life School Oak Cliff Secondary (LSOCS) by offering scholarships to cover senior fees. In addition, Taylor Farms brought warmth and comfort to an English as a Second Language (ESL) class at Oak Cliff Elementary (LSOCE), donating pajamas to every student in the class. These efforts reflect Taylor Farms’ ongoing dedication to supporting education and enriching the lives of young people.
