At Life High School Waxahachie, students in the REACH class are brewing up delicious drinks and baked goods while learning vital life skills. Kaitlyn Rodriguez, a special education teacher, and Haleigh Boyce, a REACH teacher, formed the Java Dreams coffee shop with help from a grant provided by the Life School Education Foundation (LSEF). The LSEF supports Life School and its mission by providing funds for the Dr. Tom Wilson Scholarship, Legacy Club Scholarship, and classroom teacher grants.
Life High School Oak Cliff November Coach Spotlight
Coach Larue is Oak Cliff’s Athletics Spotlight Coach of the Month for November! A beloved fixture on our campus for many years, Coach Larue leads our middle school cross country team and our high school golf team. He holds his students to high standards, both academically and athletically, inspiring them to excel in every aspect of their lives. Life High School Waxahachie November Coach Spotlight
Coach Veteto is Waxahachie’s Athletics Spotlight Coach of the Month for November! He recently earned his CDL license and wasted no time putting it to great use. While driving the volleyball team to a district tournament, he stepped in as interim coach for the first game and led the team to victory in the Silver Bracket Championship. Coach Veteto's leadership extends beyond the court. When faced with a scheduling conflict involving football players, band members, and basketball players all having events on the same day, he devised a detailed and strategic plan that ensured all students could participate and enjoy their activities. His flexibility, teamwork, and strong organizational skills make him an invaluable asset to our team. Coach Veteto’s commitment to continuous learning and personal growth sets a positive example for students and colleagues alike.

Over the past decade, areas in southern Dallas and Ellis counties have seen significant population growth. As populations swell, cities recognize the need to build new schools to serve the families who live there. To address the urgent need without adding to the local tax burden, cities often welcome public charter schools.
