Life School Matches Decade-high Re-enrolled Student Count

Life School, a leading K-12 school district announced a momentous milestone, posting a re-enrolled student count of 4,883. Just two years into its 4-day school calendar, the re-enrollment number matches a previous re-enrollment record from 2016-2017. Life School also matched last year’s Snapshot enrollment record of 5,735 students. The Snapshot is taken the last Friday of October each year and indicates overall enrollment health. Post-snapshot, overall enrollment continued to climb to 5,758 students this year.

The district has watched enrollment closely since launching a 4-day school week in 2023. Signs continue to point to positivity among Life School parents and students.

Eddie Davis, Chief Development Officer at Life School, expressed his excitement over the re-enrollment numbers, saying, "We know that families are excited to join our 4-day school week. But, we are most excited when we hear from parents about how they love our focus on value-based leadership training, academics, and communication with families.”

Responding to the 2024 Satisfaction Survey, one parent explained “I love the connection between students/teachers as children move up in grades. Very family oriented!”

Another parent added, “Along with academics, they emphasize life skills and values to help mold well-rounded individuals.”

Others describe Life School as “going above and beyond,” “making students feel valued,” “keeping parents involved,” and “the culture is positive and strong.”

Intent on serving future families well, the district continues to make strides forward. In the next several months, the district plans to begin construction on a new high school in Duncanville. The new school will relocate what is currently Life High School Oak Cliff, while also providing a centrally-located school for its surrounding elementary campuses.

Superintendent Brent Wilson plans for the new campus to be open for the 2027-2028 school year.

“A new expansion site for our Oak Cliff campus has long been a priority for Life School,” says Life School Superintendent Dr. Brent Wilson. “The new site will give us the opportunity to better serve our students with new state of the art facilities in a location that is more centralized for our current families who reside throughout the Best Southwest area.”

Long-range plans also call for the construction of a new middle school at the same property.

While many campuses are at nearly full enrollment, a few grade levels at select campuses still offer opportunities for families. Parents and guardians who are interested in enrolling at Life School can apply at lifeschool.net/enroll.
