Mikaehla Connor, Head Girls Basketball Coach at Life Oak Cliff, exemplifies excellence both on and off the court. Known for building strong, meaningful relationships with her athletes, Coach Connor is a reliable and inspiring leader who consistently puts students first. Beyond athletics, she teaches forensics and IPC, bringing the same passion, innovation, and high expectations into the classroom. She is a great communicator who builds strong rapport with her coaching staff and promotes a culture of excellence in everything she does. Self-motivated and forward-thinking, Coach Connor is always willing to go the extra mile—doing whatever is necessary to support and elevate the entire athletic program. Life High School Waxahachie March Coach Spotlight
Coach Jordan Davis joined our coaching staff this past year and has already made a tremendous impact on our student-athletes and programs. A proud alumnus of Life High School Waxahachie, Coach Davis brings a deep personal connection to our community, along with a strong foundation of character, discipline, and a genuine love for both education and athletics. Beyond the court, Coach Davis is also an inspiring history teacher who brings lessons to life in the classroom. He challenges students to think critically, connect the past to the present, and develop a strong sense of responsibility and purpose—reinforcing the same values of accountability and perseverance that he emphasizes in athletics. Coach Davis values the hard work and dedication his student-athletes bring every day, and he consistently challenges them to give their best—both on and off the court. This year, he successfully coached the boys' cross-country team and is currently coaching and overseeing the middle school boys' basketball teams, where his leadership and passion are evident in both team culture and player development. Known for his energy, positivity, and genuine commitment to student growth, Coach Davis plays a vital role in shaping confident, disciplined, and motivated young leaders. We are excited to have him on staff and look forward to the continued positive influence he will have in both our classrooms and athletic programs.
