Nadia Allen-Penn

Life High School Waxahachie Student Named TAFE Area 11 Vice President

Nadia Allen-Penn, from Life High School Waxahachie, has been elected as the Area 11 Vice President for the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE). This prestigious position reflects Nadia’s commitment to excellence and leadership.

TAFE is an organization dedicated to empowering aspiring educators across Texas by providing them with resources, support, and networking opportunities to pursue careers in teaching. The TAFE organization is a component of the Education and Training Program, a CTE program at Life High School Waxahachie. Life High School Waxahachie has been a member of TAFE for three years, and in those three years, a student from LHSW has served on the Area Leadership Team.

Nadia Allen-Penn expressed her enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I'm excited for this new role, and I am thankful for the opportunity!"

Taylor Jasper, the teacher leader for the LHSW TAFE chapter, commended Nadia for her dedication and leadership skills, stating, “Nadia Allen-Penn is a fantastic student who I have had the pleasure of helping along her path towards a career in education. She is a student who goes above and beyond and represents her school well!”

In her new role, Nadia will collaborate with fellow TAFE members, educators, and leaders, attend the leadership conference next school year, and assist with planning next year's Area competition.

As Nadia assumes her role as the Area 11 Vice President for TAFE, Life School is immensely proud of her achievement. The district looks forward to watching Nadia thrive in her new role as she continues to impact the next generation of educators.
