Life High School Waxahachie Soccer Coach Chase Bishop Achieves 300th UIL Win

Life School is proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone in its athletic program: Head Soccer Coach Chase Bishop has secured his 300th UIL victory as a varsity soccer coach, a testament to his enduring dedication to the student-athletes of Life High School Waxahachie.

Bishop joined Life School in 2007 and has been a cornerstone of the school’s athletic identity ever since. When Life School entered UIL soccer competition in 2014, Bishop wasted no time building a program to be reckoned with. In just thirteen years of UIL play, he has guided the Life School boys and girls soccer programs to an overall record of 300-73-20 including 28 Playoff Wins, 9 District Championships, 6 Regional Tournament appearances and 1 State Tournament appearance — a record that speaks for itself.

But those who know Coach Bishop will tell you that the wins are only part of the story.

“Three hundred wins is a number I’m incredibly proud of, but what I’m most proud of is the young men and women who made it happen,” said Bishop.  “Every player who has worn a live school jersey, and every coach who has been with me along the way, has contributed to this.”

Life School's athletic philosophy centers on four core principles: Leadership, Integrity, Family, and Excellence. The district believes that athletics are a powerful tool for preparing students for life beyond the classroom. Coaches are aligned with the vision of using the game to develop leadership, character, and scholarship in every student-athlete. By instilling the LifeLeader attributes — including resilience, goal-setting, effective communication, humility, and ethical leadership — winning becomes the natural byproduct of the approach.

Coach Bishop has embodied that philosophy for nearly two decades.

“Chase Bishop is exactly the kind of coach we want in this district,” said Athletic Director Scott Thrush. “He doesn’t just develop soccer players — he develops people. Three hundred wins is extraordinary, but watching his players carry themselves with class and integrity on and off the field is what makes this program truly special. The thousands of lives he’s positively reached over the years at both Life Oak Cliff and now Life Waxahachie is what's truly special. We are incredibly fortunate to have him leading our LHSW soccer programs.”

Life School is a proud member of the University Interscholastic League and fields athletes across 17 interscholastic sports districtwide, competing against schools of similar size across the state of Texas. The district has a long track record of advancing teams to regional and state competitions — and Coach Bishop’s soccer programs have been a consistent part of that legacy.

As Life School continues to build on almost 30 years of serving families across the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, milestones like this one reflect the culture that has made it a trusted choice for parents who want their children to grow academically, athletically, and as individuals.

Congratulations, Coach Bishop, on 300 wins and on every lesson taught along the way.
