On Friday, February 10, 2023, the Life High School Waxahachie (LHSW) boys varsity basketball team won the District 10-4A Championship title. The Mustangs hosted the district championship game and defeated Alvarado 50-38.
Ten different players scored goals during the game, leading to the win over Alvarado. This season, the boys have an 11-1 record. The win for the LHSW Mustangs boy's basketball team earned their second straight district championship.
The Mustangs will now face the Benbrook Bobcats in the 4A Region 2 Bi-District round of playoffs. The game will be played on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Mansfield Timberview High School at 6:00 PM.
