Life School is committed to identifying, locating, and evaluating all children with disabilities who may need special education and related services. This process, known as Child Find, ensures that students who may be eligible receive the support they need to be successful.
If you have concerns about your child's development, learning, behavior, communication, or physical abilities, we encourage you to contact the Life School Special Education Department. Child Find services are available for children and young adults ages 3 through 21, as well as birth through age 21 for children with suspected hearing impairments. Services are available to students attending Life School, private schools located within our district boundaries, and eligible homeschooled students.
If an evaluation determines that your child is eligible for special education services, our team will partner with you to develop an individualized educational program designed to meet your child's unique needs. All evaluations and special education services are provided at no cost to families.
Students may qualify for services under one or more of the following disability categories:
- Autism
- Deaf-Blindness
