Staff Update – House Bill 3

Staff Update – House Bill 3

Our Life School Board values people and realizes that competitive salaries and benefits are important to attract and retain quality teachers and staff. As an early commitment, in March, the board approved $1.72 million for raises for the 2019-2020 school year.

Additionally, Life School remains dedicated to providing quality health benefits for employees. On average, Life School employees pay 68% less per month for their health benefits as compared to TRS Active Care plans that many surrounding schools offer their employees. For more information about the updated pay scales and Life School benefit plans, please visit the Human Resources page on our website.

Life School is committed to continuous improvement and will monitor the details of House Bill 3 over the summer months. As updates become available, we will send new information regarding the final outcomes of House Bill 3 later this summer. Any impact to compensation will be considered in the fall when funding calculations are finalized.

Until then, please enjoy a wonderful summer break with your families and friends. We are grateful you are part of our Life School team!

Sincerely, Dr. Brent Wilson
