Life School Expands to Grades 7-8 at Mountain Creek

Dear Life School Staff: 

We have exciting news! Beginning this August, Life School Mountain Creek is expanding to offer grades 7-8. We expect the addition of these grades to add convenience for LSMC families who, until now, have needed to bus their students to Waxahachie or drive them to Oak Cliff  to continue with Life School.

This new middle school model will feature smaller class sizes, more one-on-one teacher-student interaction, the ability to earn early high school credit, and college readiness classes (AVID). At this time, athletics will not be offered at the LSMC campus.

Parents and students are invited to attend a special meeting on April 27th at 6:00 p.m. to learn more. The meeting will be held at Lighthouse Church, adjacent to the LSMC campus. Administrators and academic staff will be on hand to answer your questions about what middle school looks like at Mountain Creek. Subjects such as student schedules, early high school credit, and the location of grades 7-8 in the building, will be discussed.  

Life School will continue to bus students to the LMSW and LHSW campuses in the fall.  However, this does mean that we will no longer run a bus directly from LSMC to Waxahachie. LSMC families that desire their children to attend on of our Waxahachie campuses will be able to drop off their children at Life School Cedar Hill located at 129 W Wintergreen Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. 

Our enrollment team will be reaching out to all families in the Mountain Creek and Cedar Hill area whose students will be in middle school next year to answer questions and help select which Life middle school campus is right for their student(s).   As you talk with families, please take the opportunity to encourage them to allow us to continue to serve their students at Mountain Creek for grades 7-8 and remind them of the special meeting on April 27th.
