Properly Format Your Life School Email Signature

Microsoft Outlook

The easiest and most common method for creating an email signature is in the Outlook program on your computer.

1. Access your Gallup Top 5 Strengths in Gallup Access.
2. Download the Life School Email Signature Template file (.docx).
3. Double click the template file (.docx) to open it in Microsoft Word.
   • Copy the content from the template.
4. In Outlook, choose Outlook > Preferences > Signatures.
   • Create a new signature and paste the content from the template.
   • Find your campus contact information on the website contact page.
   • Update your campus and personal information.

Office 365 Web Client

If you use the Office 365 web client through your web browser, it will not permit you to copy paste the logo. The steps to create a signature in the web client are different and are highlighted in orange below.

• Access your Gallup Top 5 Strengths in Gallup Access.
• Download the Life School Email Signature Template file (.docx).
• Double click the template file (.docx) to open it in Microsoft Word.
  • Right click on the image and Save as Picture to your desktop.
  • Copy the content from the Word template.
• In Office 365, choose the Gear icon in the top right > View all Outlook Settings in the bottom right > Compose and Reply.
  • You will see a signature panel in the right side. 
  • Paste the content from the template.
    • You will notice that there is a broken image where the logo should be.
    • Select and delete the broken image line.
    • Click the Insert Pictures icon in the editor.
    • Choose the logo image you saved to your desktop.
    • Select the logo, hold shift, and drag the bottom right corner of the image to size it to the width of the phone number as shown in the sample signature below. Be sure not to distort the logo.
  • Find your campus contact information on the website contact page.
  • Update your campus and personal information.
