No. Per Section 33.0832(e) of the Texas Education Code, a non-enrolled student may only participate for the school in the district they'd be eligible to attend based on residential address, and must establish proof of residency per Section 25.001. Students must also comply with Section 442 (Residence in School District and Attendance Zone) of the UIL Constitution and Contest Rules. Per Section 33.0832(e-1), if the eligible school is subject to an ISD opt-out policy, the student may instead participate at the closest school (by geographic proximity) not subject to that policy.

With the exception of August and May, up to one PD day is scheduled on a Friday each month. Additional PD days are planned in August to prepare for the start of school, and the school year will conclude in May with 2 staff development days.

Targeted assistance will be provided to students on Fridays in some cases. Teachers who volunteer for these assignments have the opportunity to earn money for the time worked. There are 2 federal holidays that fall on Mondays. For these weeks, students and staff will attend school on Friday. On the first week after Christmas Break, there will be a Monday PD day, and students and staff will attend school on Friday. Any regularly scheduled duties and job functions associated with extracurricular activities are still required on Fridays. There are two inclement weather make-up days on a Friday.
