MYTH: The construction is taxpayer funded
TRUTH: Charter school construction projects/bonds do not affect local tax rates and are not funded in the same way as traditional public ISDs.
MYTH: Life School is abandoning Oak Cliff and moving to Duncanville.
TRUTH: Life School Oak Cliff Elementary and Middle Schools are remaining in Oak Cliff. The High School is relocating to Duncanville to provide better facilities/resources to Life School families.

New High School to Serve South Dallas
In Fall of 2023, Life School purchased 105 acres in Duncanville as the future site of new High School and Middle School buildings. With a target move-in date of 2027-2028, Life High School Oak Cliff will relocate to the new facility.

Feasability Study at Oak Cliff Campus
Prior to purchasing the Duncanville campus, Life School explored the potential for a new high school at the Oak Cliff campus. With only 21 total buildable acres, most of which was already occupied by existing buildings, it became apparent that the founding location would not be large enough to serve growing needs of our Oak Cliff and South Dallas families.
Why Duncanville?
The new property is centrally-located among our campuses in Oak Cliff, Cedar Hill, Mountain Creek and Lancaster, providing a natural pathway for current students into high school. The location is also ideal for serving new families in the South Dallas area.
How far is it?
The new property is only 7 miles from our Oak Cliff campus, 5 miles from our Cedar Hill campus, 11 miles from our Mountain Creek Campus, and 11 miles from our Lancaster campus.
Who Can Attend?
While we expect strong enrollment from families in our area elementary and middle schools, all families are welcome to apply. We believe that quality education should be available to all. It's not just school, It's LIFE!
