In August of 2023, Life School launched its 4-day school week. It was bold, against the landscape of delayed post-Covid TEA ratings; a tumultuous restructuring of how school ratings are calculated; and court battles that delayed knowing how the move impacted performance. That landscape makes the results of the latest TEA ratings especially notable as Life School finds its “B” rating near the top of the pack.

Eight seniors from a public charter school system in Dallas and Ellis counties are the first high school students to receive certificates of completion in Cybersecurity from Texas State Technical College’s North Texas campus, less than a month before they graduate from high school.

Life High School Oak Cliff March Coach Spotlight
Amanda Andrews provides a myriad of services for our athletic department and school. The list includes injury rehab, injury prevention, sports medicine classes, coordinating on-campus physicals, game and practice support, postseason support, emergency action plans, and many other things. Andrews is a dedicated and reliable member of our community who always goes above and beyond for the athletes, staff, and all stakeholders.
Life High School Waxahachie March Coach Spotlight
Jordan Graham joined our athletics team this year as the assistant athletic trainer, bringing fresh energy and a strong commitment to our student-athletes. Coach Graham teaches sports medicine classes at Life High School Waxahachie, helping students explore and grow in the field of sports health. In a short time, she has already made a significant impact on the Mustang community, and we’re thrilled to have her as part of the Life School family.
Jennifer McCord serves as our head athletic trainer, bringing both passion and expertise to the role. She began her journey with Life School as an assistant athletic trainer under Thomas Rhodes and has since stepped confidently into the lead role. Coach McCord attended SFA in 2020 before earning her athletic training license from the UTA in 2022. She continues to make a positive impact on our student-athletes every day.
