The Life High School Waxahachie (LHSW) Theatre Program proudly presents “Cinderella” on Friday, December 2, and Saturday, December 3, 2022. The performance is based on the musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Open to the community, the musical will take place at the Waxahachie Chautauqua Auditorium.

To shore up safety and security in Texas public schools, the Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC) began performing random intruder protection audits in Fall 2022. According to TxSSC, the goal is for 100% of school districts and 75% of campuses across the state to be audited by the end of the school year. In October, two Life School campuses were audited with no findings and no issues.
During October 'Coaches Spotlight,' Life School's athletic department recognized Andrew Duzyk and Colten Oder for their sacrifice of time and passion for Life School athletics.
n February, Life Middle School Waxahachie Principal Freddie Stanmore and his wife, Tiffany, will participate in Dancing with The Ellis County Stars. The event raises money for the Texas Baptist for Children (TBHC) Foster Care and Adoption.
In September, Life High School Oak Cliff (LHSOC) National Honor Society (NHS) students modeled the school's mission by partnering with World Vision to complete service projects. World Vision is a humanitarian organization working to help communities lift themselves out of poverty. Part of the organization's work includes supporting schools, churches and shelters.

On Friday August 12th, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released new accountability ratings for the 2021-2022 school year. Accountability ratings are based on end-of-year test scores including STAAR and EOC exams. As a district, Life School received a score of 87 out of 100, earning a ‘B’ rating and improving from a score of 81 in 2018-2019. Within the reports is another notable achievement for Life School Oak Cliff – earning a distinction for Postsecondary Readiness.
Life High School Waxahachie (LHSW) was recognized as a member of the inaugural Accelerating Women’s Success and Mastery (AWSM) in Computer Science Honor Roll at the 2022 WeTeach_CS Summit. Life High School Waxahachie achieved this award because young women made up at least 50% of computer science (CS) course enrollment in the 2020-2021 school year. The statewide average is just 27%.
