Life School Celebrates ‘National School Choice Week’ With Supt. Q&A
It's National School Choice Week (NSCW) and schools are celebrating quality education options for K-12 families across the country.
NSCW brings awareness of more than 7,500 public charter schools and other school choice options from which parents have to choose. Such selections include public charter schools, private schools, traditional public schools, public magnet schools, online academies, and homeschooling.
In Texas, public charter schools serve over 320,000 students, equipping graduates with adaptive academics and building a foundation of lifelong success. In step with the NSCW’s mission, Life School continues a legacy to develop leaders with life skills through strong academics, character training, and partnerships with parents and the community.
Today, Life School serves over 5,600 students in 10 schools across seven locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Passionate about education, Life School Superintendent, Dr. Brent Wilson, sat down with KBEC Correspondent and Red Oak Chamber of Commerce President, Clint Woodward, to dive into the details of NSCW.
Highlights of their conversation include discussing the importance of parents' right to choose the best education for their students, the difference between public charter schools and traditional ISD’s, and how parents can apply to charter schools.
