Life School Athletics Names May's Coaches of the Month
Representing outstanding leadership, Life School's Athletics Department announces May's Coaches of the Month.
COACH JAMES RICHARDSON | LIFE HIGH SCHOOL OAK CLIFF
This is Coach James Richardson’s first year at Life High School Oak Cliff (LHSOC). He is the High School Defensive Coordinator and also coaches Life Middle School Oak Cliff Track. He shows commitment and builds relationships with the student-athletes. This year, he has shown to be flexible and goes out of his way to collaborate with staff and faculty. Coach Richardson works daily to help in the overall improvement of the football team.
COACH BRITNEY TAYLOR | LIFE HIGH SCHOOL WAXAHACHIE
This month Life High School Waxahachie (LHSW) would like to recognize Britney Taylor for May's Coach of the Month. Coach Taylor is the Head Coach for Girls Basketball at LHSW and has been with Life School as part of the coaching staff for two years. Coach Taylor has been working hard to build the girls basketball program and expects a lot from her athletes on-and-off the court. The athletes have responded well to this style of coaching because of the relationships that Coach Taylor builds with each team member. One of the LifeLeader attributes that Coach Taylor demonstrates is being goal-oriented. She has put in place achievable goals for the Lady Mustangs program to bring them to the next level of play. LHSW looks forward to the continued progress the girls basketball program will make with the foundation that is being set by Coach Taylor and her staff.
COACH ISAAC BELL | LIFE MIDDLE SCHOOL WAXAHACHIE
Coach Isaac Bell has been a great addition to the Life Middle School Waxahachie (LMSW) coaching staff. He brings a wealth of track and field knowledge from his time running track for the Houston Cougars and does a great job sharing that knowledge with our athletes. A few of his biggest strengths is his consistency, calm demeanor, and willingness to take care of business. Coach Bell has been diligently working on obtaining his CDL so that he can help with driving LMSW athletes to and from athletic events. He also always does his classroom attendance on-time and you can always count on him during athletics to have his athletes completing an intense pre-planned workout. His Friday character lesson about winning the conference championship in college was one of the most inspiring lessons the LMSW athletes and staff has had the honor of hearing this year.
COACH DEVON WASHINGTON | LIFE HIGH SCHOOL OAK CLIFF
This is Coach Devon Washington’s sixth year at Life School Oak Cliff and he is currently the Assistant Coach for the Life High School Oak Cliff (LHSOC) girls’ basketball program and the Head Junior High Coach for the football department. Coach Washington’s love and passion for the athletic program shows with his commitment and relationship building he develops with the LHSOC student-athletes, parents, and stakeholders.
