Life School Athletics Names April's 'Coaches of the Month'
Highlighting LifeLeaders who exemplify strong character daily, Life School's Athletic department names April's Coaches of the Month.
COACH CHASE BISHOP | LIFE HIGH SCHOOL OAK CLIFF
Coach Chase Bishop has proven to play a significant role in the development and leadership of his student-athletes. He has built the boys’ soccer program to become one of the finest in 4A competition and recognizes the strengths, qualities, and resources to help him and his student-athletes continue to be successful. Coach Bishop helps to build his student-athletes to improve and become even more effective when they’re in the classroom or on the field.
COACH RAQUELLE PEGRAM | LIFE MIDDLE SCHOOL OAK CLIFF
This is Coach Raquelle Pegram’s second year with Life Middle School Oak Cliff (LMSOC) as the Junior High volleyball coach. Coach Pegram’s low-profile has made an impact on the athletes here at LMSOC. Not only does she encourage students on and off the court to be productive, but she also challenges them to exude excellence in all they do.
COACH JEFF LEWIS | LIFE MIDDLE SCHOOL WAXAHACHIE
Coach Jeff Lewis has done a great job this year with the basketball and track teams. He has taken ownership in the boy's basketball program at Life Middle School Waxahachie and made it a priority to teach the 7th and 8th graders what to expect when they make it to high school. The success high school boys' basketball program is attributed to what Coach Lewis has going on at LMSW. Another strength of Coach Lewis is his willingness to go above and beyond to help out wherever needed; it could be covering a class, filling in and doing a character lesson when a coach is absent, or taking some extra kids in athletics to help out another coach. He is a team player and always willing to help be a problem solver.
If you haven't had the opportunity to listen to one of Coach Lewis's Friday athletic character lessons, you are missing out. His stories are engaging, and he finds a way to relate his many life experiences to the students of LMSW athletics. Coach Lewis is a valued member of Life Middle School Waxahachie and nobody makes "Lemonade out of Lemons" like he does.
COACH DANIEL DAGEN | LIFE HIGH SCHOOL WAXAHACHIE
This month, Life High School Waxahachie (LHSW) recognizes Coach Daniel Dagen. Coach Dagen has been with Life School as part of the LHSW coaching staff for several years and is the Head Coach for the Boys/Girls Cross Country and Assistant Track Coach. Coach Dagen works extremely hard to get the best out of the Mustang athletes. The students respond well to his style of leadership because of the relationships that he builds with his athletes year after year. One of the LifeLeader attributes that Coach Dagen demonstrates is - resilient. He takes on the challenges that are before him and creates opportunity. Coach Dagen is also willing to volunteer for services outside of coaching, like drive a fan bus to playoff games to help support our teams. This is the type of servant leadership he brings to the LHSW staff. Thank you Coach Dagen for supporting our athletic mission.
