Freddie and TIffany Stanmore

Life Middle School Waxahachie Principal Dances With The Stars

In February, Life Middle School Waxahachie Principal Freddie Stanmore and his wife, Tiffany, will participate in Dancing with The Ellis County Stars. The event raises money for the Texas Baptist for Children (TBHC) Foster Care and Adoption.

TBHC has partnered with Danceworks in Waxahachie to provide the participants with a choreographer. The couple will train with their choreographer starting in October leading up to the event. The Stanmores say that they will lean on the expertise of the choreographer but hope to do something fun. Freddie and TIffany do not have any formal dance experience, but are excited to learn.

“We look forward to the opportunity to bring awareness to adoption, the agency and helping raise money for a great cause,” says Freddie.

A total of six groups will compete for the mirror ball trophy. The winners will be chosen by a calculation of percentage points from online votes prior to their performance, judges’ scores, and one free vote per audience member during the event. The contests will be judged by six members of the community which include former participants, business leaders, a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader and the Director of the Waxahachie High School Cherokee Charmers.

The Stanmores are proud members of the Life School and Waxahachie communities and look forward to participating with other leaders from the community. Freddie has served as the Principal of Life Middle School Waxahachie since 2018, and Tiffany is a Life School substitute teacher. The Stanmores have been married for 23 years and are also Life School parents. The couple has three children, two of whom are Life School alumni, and one middle school student at Life Middle School Waxahachie. “Our children are thriving, and we credit so much of that to Life School. We are proud to represent Life School in this event,” says Tiffany.

Each pair of dancers has a team name. The Stanmores chose “Higher Love” as theirs. They hope that their participation will inspire others to do good works and step out of their comfort zones – whether that’s participating in Dancing with The Ellis County Stars next year, participating in a service project, or choosing to do something to serve their community.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at The Waxahachie Civic Center at 6:00 PM. Members of the community can vote an unlimited number of times for $5 per vote. Voting is currently open and will continue through the end of the competition. Once all dancers have finished their performances, online and live audiences will be able to place one vote for the best dance at no cost.
