LHSW Head Track Coach Lyle Linscomb is excited for the athletes to have the opportunity to compete at the state level. “I’m very proud of the effort from both teams this season. We knew the boys had a chance to be special, and they didn't disappoint. I’m excited to see what they can do at the state meet. We expected that the girls team would be a bit of a rebuild after graduating some key players last year. The girls exceeded expectations – winning district and area for the 6th year in a row and having a top 10 finish at regionals. Both teams are young, so the future is very bright for the track and field program.”
The Mustangs will travel to the University of Texas at Austin on Thursday May 11 to represent Life School at the State Meet starting at 5:00 PM.
