Many of you are scheduled to visit your student’s campus Friday, August 14th, to retrieve important school materials including ID badges, hang tags, curriculum resources, textbooks, and technology devices.

Dear Life School Parents,

Due to the recommendations of local health officials, Life School made the decision to delay our return to on-campus learning until after September 8th. Now that we have begun instruction and state officials have given authority to local school districts to determine their return to campus protocols, Life School feels strongly that it is our responsibility to provide a face-to-face learning environment for families. 

For the first time since the abrupt closing of all schools across North Texas last March, Life School is reopening its doors for students who have elected to return to in-person learning on Monday, September 14th.

At Life School Red Oak (LSRO) Elementary, teachers, staff, and families reconnected through a summer send-off drive-through parade on Friday, May 22.

Though the school year ended with an unexpected turn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the LSRO school spirit was strong as staff adopted the social media trend of drive-through parades to celebrate their students’ resilience.

Last night we were able to have an amazing graduation ceremony for our Class of 2020. It was a wonderful time of being together again to celebrate the accomplishments of these students, in the face of a very challenging end to their school year.

Although it seems that summer has only just begun, Life School is making proactive plans for the start of school in August.

Dear Parents,

Last week we communicated Life School’s plan to offer two different learning options for the upcoming school year. We appreciate the many families who have already completed their selections for on-campus or remote learning. We have received several questions as it pertains to the structure of the remote learning option and the safety protocols for on-campus (face-to-face) learning.

We are excited to announce that the Life School Board of Directors recently approved the purchase of additional technology devices made possible by a recent matching grant opportunity through TEA.

Dear Life School Families,

Today marks the end of the first week for face-to-face instruction and the end of the 5th week of learning.  Regardless of the choice you have made for your family, we are happy to connect with our students in their preferred learning environment. We want to thank all of you for your patience and understanding as we work together to create new processes to prepare students to be ready to learn, ready to lead and ready for life.
