    As Ellis County continues the “shelter-in-place” orders to manage the COVID-19 curve, the Life High School Waxahachie and Life Middle School Waxahachie cheer teams are proving their resilience through a virtual solution of online tryouts.

    “We still wanted to give our girls the opportunity because it means a lot to them to be able to try out for the team. They put in a lot of work this year and they really wanted to see the fruits of their labor,” expressed Kirstein Andrew, LHSW Head Cheer Coach.

These are all titles that Life High School Oak Cliff alumnus, Deunte Levine, carries with a humble demeanor and grateful spirit.

  • LHSOC Boys Soccer Remains Undefeated in District Play

    The boys varsity soccer team remains undefeated in district play. The team has improved their district record to 9-0-1. The team is currently tied with Williams Prep for first place. The Lion’s next home game is March 17th vs A Plus Academy. Great job Coach Bishop, Coach Chobany, and the varsity soccer team.

  • LHSOC Boys Track and Field Compete in Texas Tech Under Armour HS Classic

    The girls and boys track & field team traveled to Lubbock, Texas to compete in the Texas Tech Under Armour HS Classic track meet. The athletes did an exceptional job while competing. Brooklyn Fucuals posted a personal best in the 60m run with 7.71 sec and 25. 71 in the 200m run. She wasn’t the only fresh face to do well. Jason Williams, Joshua Yao, Elijah Sheppard, Aderian Gee, Mikeria Perkins, Kyla Collins, Nehemiah Dilworth, Jessika Bivins, and Alayshia Trim did an outstanding job. These athletes are all anxious to show us their talents as the track & field season progresses.

    During the 4th Annual Lion Relays, Coach Hewitt and Coach Stimpson had the honor of recognizing seniors Errol Hampton, Adaryah Kidd, and Jason Williams. These student-athletes have been part of the track & field program for the past 4 years.

  • LHSOC's First Debate Team is UIL State-bound

    Life High School Oak Cliff competed in its very first University Interscholastic League (UIL) Cross-Examination (CX) debate tournament on January 16 at Brookhaven College. Not only was it the school’s first debate tournament – but the team did so well in its inaugural UIL competition that they qualified for the state UIL debate tournament that will be held March 16-17 in Austin at The University of Texas at Austin.

    Mariah Bell from Life High School Waxahachie is one of over 300 high school dancers, cheerleaders, and drum majors from across the U.S. who will be performing in the historic city of Rome on New Year’s Day. Mariah also represented her high school in the London New Year’s Day Parade last year. 

  • Life High School Waxahachie Head Coach Earns 300th Win

    On January 2nd, 2020 the Life High School Waxahachie Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated Midland Greenwood by a margin of 50-38 to give Coach Eddie Berumen his 300th win as the Head Varsity Coach.In his 12th season with Life School, the goal-oriented Berumen remains committed to building one of the strongest basketball programs in District 17-4A. Coach Berumen became the Life High School Mustangs’ first-ever varsity boys basketball coach in 2008 competing in Division 1A.

    Dear Life School Parents,

    Due to the recommendations of local health officials, Life School made the decision to delay our return to on-campus learning until after September 8th. Now that we have begun instruction and state officials have given authority to local school districts to determine their return to campus protocols, Life School feels strongly that it is our responsibility to provide a face-to-face learning environment for families.
