Life School Central Office News

Dear Life School Families,

Congratulations on the completion of your first day of remote learning!  Even though we were unable to see our students face-to-face, it was fun to see all their smiling faces shared on social media.

Today, the North Texas Region is experiencing network issues that are affecting Life School and other schools across our area. We are in contact with our internet service providers and it has been escalated to the highest level. As a result, you may experience issues accessing some of our learning applications today. We apologize for the inconvenience and will communicate updates as they are available.

DISTRICT UPDATES

Attendance Policy
The Texas Education Agency has required that students engage daily with their Learning Management System (LMS) in order to receive attendance credit.  Please visit our Attendance Policy page to learn how your student will receive attendance credit for remote learning each day.

PowerHouse Childcare
All-day child care is available through PowerHouse, Life School’s before and after school child care partner on the Red Oak, Lancaster and Cedar Hill campuses.  LMSW students in need of care are also welcome to register at the Red Oak campus.  Students will not only be cared for during the day but will be given assistance with remote learning.

Meal Services
Please click the Parent Notification document to view information about the 2020-2021 Child Nutrition Application as well as meal services that will be offered during remote learning.

Life School Website Update
The alert bar at the top of the Life School web page now provides quick links to remote learning resources, Parent Portal, attendance policy, and back to school info. To find more specific information for your student’s campus, you can find your campus webpage on our Life School 'Schools' page.
