Parent Update | 7.14.2020
Last week we communicated Life School’s plan to offer two different learning options for the upcoming school year. We appreciate the many families who have already completed their selections for on-campus or remote learning. We have received several questions as it pertains to the structure of the remote learning option and the safety protocols for on-campus (face-to-face) learning.
We are working diligently to answer these and other questions so you have the ability to make an informed decision for your student and family. By the end of the week, we will be releasing a Back to School 2020 webpage including a video outlining the two learning models, as well as a Parent FAQ document to help provide clarity on the choices that are available.
The webpage and FAQ will continue to be updated as TEA releases new updates. Since last week, we received notice that TEA will allow students who select the remote learning option to participate in extracurricular activities. In order to allow parents with questions to make an informed decision, we have extended the selection deadline to Wednesday, July 22nd. The Learning Option Commitment Form can be completed by logging into SchoolMint.
The safety and well-being of students and staff are top priorities for Life School as we continue to make plans that will keep everyone safe while also delivering high-quality education.
We thank you for your continued patience and support as we work through the many complex issues involved in delivering multiple learning solutions for your students.
