Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15th through October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month. Our schools will be celebrating this important culture by honoring Hispanic leaders of past and present. Students have the opportunity to explore the Hispanic culture through art, performances and class discussions. Honoring cultural celebrations throughout the year exemplifies our LifeLeader attribute of global perspective and prepares our students to be ready to learn.
Life School Athletics
Life School offers excellent athletic programs for secondary students including football, volleyball, basketball, track and more! Come out to support our Lions and Mustangs this season. Homecoming games for both schools are coming up soon. Tickets can be purchased online and games will be live-streamed as well. Click here to view the Life School Athletic Website for details.
STAAR/EOC Tests Online Only
This year, TEA determined that all students will take the STAAR/EOC assessment online. Practice tests are available to help your child succeed! The online practice tests are designed to familiarize students with the online testing environment, the available tools, and the various types of test questions. You can access the online practice tests from our STAAR tip sheet.

PARTNERS FOR LIFE
Sign up for Partners for Life Parent Organization
The mission of Life School is to develop leaders with life skills through strong academics, character training, and partnerships with parents and the community. We are excited about the many opportunities we have for parents to participate on campus.
All campuses are now allowing classroom observations. We encourage parents to schedule a time to visit their student’s classroom to learn more about the day to day life of their student.
Also, all campuses will host quarterly Parent Nights this year. Some campuses have already hosted their first Parent Night, while others are coming up soon. This quarter’s elementary school events will focus on LifeHabits (social, emotional and behavioral learning) and teaching the LifeLeader attributes.
Many campuses also have volunteer opportunities available such as book fairs, guest speaker opportunities and more. We want parents in our schools. Click here to become a member of your campus’ Partners for Life Parent Organization and find ways to get involved.
Life School is excited to partner with Mentors Care to begin offering mentoring services to students at our LHSOC campus. Mentors Care is a community-based organization dedicated to connecting high school students who are at risk of not graduating with mentors, tools, and resources to help lead them toward graduation and purposeful lives. Click here to read more about the program.
If you have a heart for students and want to help them succeed, please click here to sign up.
AVID Guest Speakers
Life School’s AVID program prepares students for success on their college and career paths. Offered in grades 7-12, students learn how to organize, study effectively, think critically, ask probing questions, receive academic help from peers, and participate in enrichment and motivational activities. We are currently seeking guest speakers to talk to these students about various career paths. If you would like to come share your experience about your career, please click here.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Please click here to read the latest Safety Bulletin. These bulletins will be produced quarterly and provide information about how staff, students and parents can help keep our campuses safe.
