Spring Break 2021
March 15th - 19th is Spring Break week! We hope our families and staff enjoy a week-long break to recharge. This year has been incredibly trying for teachers, students, and parents alike. Enjoy the well-deserved break!
Life School remains committed to protecting the safety of our students and staff. At this time, Life School will continue to follow our current social distancing and mask protocols. Life School will continue to monitor information from TEA, local health officials, legal counsel, and other available resources. We will provide an update to staff and families if any changes to the policy are made.

Read Across America Day
Each year, National Read Across America Day is celebrated on March 2nd. Life School is committed to ensuring that every student is able to read on grade level by the 3rd grade. To celebrate and encourage the love of reading, Life School and Region 10 Education Service Center (ESC) hosted several Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders (DCC) and other special guests to read to the elementary students of Life School Oak Cliff Elementary (LSOCE).
Life School’s Behavior Coaches, Kristen Nichols and Diamond Amie, are creating LifeLeader mini-lessons for staff and students. These LifeHabits mini-lessons are designed to spark conversations with students to support social-emotional development. Check out their latest lesson on Social-Awareness. Please see the Parent Resources section at the bottom of this newsletter for additional LifeLeader resources.
National Educational Diagnosticians' Week
Last week, we celebrated National Educational Diagnosticians’ Week. Our Diagnosticians and our ARD Facilitators play a vital role in student and teacher success. Together they support many Life School students and staff by collaborating and problem-solving.
National Athletic Training Month
This month, we are celebrating National Athletic Training Month. Life School’s athletic training staff works diligently every day to provide sports healthcare in order to keep student-athletes safe. Life School’s athletic training staff provides students in the Sports Medicine program hands-on experience in the classroom and on the field. This year, the athletic training staff has also shined in making sure the health and safety of our students was a top priority through COVID-19 protocols, in return allowing students to safely and successfully participate in athletics this school year.
Book Drive for LSCH
Due to the recent winter storm, Life School Cedar Hill has lost many of its classroom library books. Would you consider donating new or slightly used books to classrooms? Each Life School campus has a basket designated for Life School Cedar Hill Book Drive. Click here to participate!
