DISTRICT UPDATES
Parent Input Survey
The end of the school year brings many announcements, events and other important information. Please continue to check grades and attendance using the Parent Portal and read newsletters from your child’s campus and teachers to stay informed and take advantage of opportunities to be involved.
As we prepare for next year, we would love to hear from you about ways we can enhance partnerships with parents. Please take a moment to answer this 2-question survey by April 30th.
Refer a Friend While Space Remains
Life School just completed our enrollment lottery. However, space remains at several of our schools. If you have family or friends who may be interested in attending Life School, please encourage them to apply by clicking here. Applying takes less than 10 minutes. Your friends can also request a campus visit.
Campus Visitors
Due to the significant decrease in COVID cases in the district, all campuses have returned to GREEN protocols and the restriction on visitors has been lifted. The Life School COVID-19 dashboard can be viewed here.
Life School Career Fair
Interested in a career with Life School? Join us for our career fair on April 25th to learn more about current employment opportunities! Please register to attend at lifeschool.net/careers.

Both LHSOC and LHSW will host several youth sports camps this summer. Click here to register!
OUR PURPOSE
End of Year Testing
The end of the school year is often equated with the anticipation of summer, but also the anxiety of testing season. Encouraging your students to get good rest and nutrition can help prepare their minds and bodies. It may also be helpful to take time to talk with your students about how they are feeling to help them remain self-managed and self-aware as it relates to the stress they may feel. If you are concerned that your child may need mental health support, please reach out to your campus counselor. Click here to access campus phone numbers along with information to access local mental health services if you feel that your child is feeling more than overwhelmed.
Life School Holds 2022 District-Wide Science Fair
Six Life School elementary campuses came together for the Life School District Science Fair at Life School Red Oak Elementary on April 1, 2022. The district also partnered with The Perot Museum for the event. While students waited to present their projects to the judges, they participated in STEM activities with employees from the Perot Museum.
OUR PEOPLE
Nominate a Life School Employee
At Life School, we want to celebrate the amazing work that happens every day on our campuses. Each year, we honor employees for many different awards at our Life Honors Awards ceremony. This year, we are asking students and parents to please take a moment to nominate a Life School employee for the ways they have exhibited one or more of our LifeLeader attributes. Please submit your nominations by April 15th using this link: LifeLeader Nominations
Teacher Appreciation Week
May 2nd through 6th is Teacher Appreciation Week. Help us celebrate and thank our teachers for all of their hard work. We are so grateful to our resilient teachers for their dedication to our students in what have been especially challenging times, these last two years.
Life School Athletics Names March Coaches Spotlight Honoree
During March 'Coaches Spotlight,' Life School's athletic department recognized Dr. Amanda Andrews and Taylor Daugherty for their sacrifice of time and passion for Life School athletics.
OUR PARTNERS
Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences
On April 20th, all elementary campuses have set aside time for Parent-Teacher Conferences. These meetings provide a meaningful opportunity for parents to engage with teachers and learn about their student’s progress throughout the school year. Look for more information from your student’s campus regarding how to schedule a meeting.
Regions Bank Donation
Regions Bank recently presented Life School with a $2,500 monetary donation and a large container of school supplies to benefit Life School students. The funds, through Books for Kids, provided Spanish-language books to students at the Life School Oak Cliff Elementary campus.
