Q&A With Chief Academic Officer Dr. Mooney
Dear Life School Families, You asked and we listened! We know that selecting a learning option for your student is an important decision. To help you evaluate the learning options available, Life School has launched a Back to School 2020 webpage. On this webpage, you will find answers to frequently asked questions regarding On-campus and Remote Learning, as well as, guidance documents specifically for Elementary, Secondary, and Special Education.
Additionally, please view this video from Life School’s Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Troy Mooney, for an overview of the learning options available for the 2020-2021 school year.
BREAKING NEWS: Yesterday, Dallas County Health and Human Services issued an order that school systems shall not re-open for on-campus, face-to-face instruction until after September 7, 2020. Life School leaders are participating in several state-level virtual meetings today to gain clarity on what the TEA and the Governor recommend for school reopening across our state. We will continue to monitor the news and other sources of information regarding how these decisions impact our start of school date and options for families.
As we evaluate how this new information affects our Back to School plans, please continue to select which learning option you prefer for your student so we can create more precise plans regarding staff assignments and preparations for the upcoming school year. You may make your selection by completing the Learning Option Commitment Form.
We are committed to providing our students with a quality education during these uncertain times. Thank you for choosing Life School.
