What is Life School's enrollment or anti-discrimination policy?
Life School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sex, or disability in providing education services, activities, and programs, including vocational programs, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
Do I have to provide my immigration status to enroll?
Immigration status is not required. Texas state law prohibits us from asking that information.
What are the admissions requirements?
Life School is a free public school open to all K-12 students.

Does my child have to live in [city] to attend [school]?
No. Charter schools provide freedom in which school you choose to attend. You can choose a preferred Life School campus even if it does not reside within your home town or school district.
How much does Life School cost?
Life School is a free, public charter school. No tuition is required.
Is Life School an open district?
Life School complies with all state and federal regulations regarding admission and does not discriminate on the basis of gender, national origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, academic, artistic, athletic ability, or the district the child would otherwise attend.
Do you accept children with autism?

What does the birthday have to be in order to start kindergarten?
Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1st to attend for the school year.
What documents are required to enroll?
All students must provide 1) proof of residency, 2) immunization records, 3) birth certificate, 4) social security card, 5) most recent report card, 6) most recent transcript, 7) disciplinary records and 8) special program information if applicable (special education, 504, gifted and talented, etc.).
Do you accept incoming seniors?
What counts as proof of residence?
The following count as proof of residence: 1) Current property tax bill with parent/guardian's name and property address; 2) Current rental or lease agreement with the parent/guardian's name, student name, and address, as well as manager or owner's name and telephone number; 3) Documents related to the purchase of the residence with the parent/guardian's name and property address; 4) Mail dated within 60 days before the application date from the following sources: Social Security Administration; A Texas State government agency; Utility companies; Credit card bill; Financial institutions (including checking or savings); Insurance companies; State and Federal Revenue documents; or Pay check information. You can contact your campus Registrar to provide proof of residence.

Do you do a placement or benchmark test for homeschool students entering Life School?
The counselor will hold assessments for Kindergarten, and grades K-8 who have been homeschooled. If needed, you will be contacted by the campus to set up a time for testing.
